Square Enix releases the original Tomb Raider onto Android for a mere $0.99

Square Enix has randomly decided to release the original Tomb Raider onto Android today. You may think this is an April Fools Day joke but it isn’t, this is real. What may not seem real is the price as well but be assured that too is real. So has this been revamped or anything like that?

In short, no. Aside from the new mobile controls to play Tomb Raider with, the game is completely original, that includes the visuals as well as the storyline. In fact that is one of the features Square Enix has mentioned in the game’s description: “We’ve not messed about with it, so it’s the full, unedited, unadulterated experience from the classic release”.

Tomb Raider Features:

– Epic Exploration – Uncover the deepest, darkest mysteries of the lost city of Atlantis and unearth secrets to Lara’s past.
– Acrobatic Gunplay – Deftly leap around charging enemies while you unleash a hail of bullets from your trademark dual pistols.
– Combat Lethal Predators – Defeat Atlantean centaurs to the terrifying T-Rex
– Original Gameplay – Relive the full, unedited, unadulterated experience from the classic release
– Full Chapters – Includes two extra chapters that were included in the game’s 1998 release
– Game Controllers – Supports MOGA Ace Power & Logitech PowerShell

As you can tell from the above features list, you gamers out there that use controllers have a couple of options available to use with Tomb Raider. Regardless as to whether or not you use a controller, picking up this game at the price of $0.99 is pretty much a given.
