Microscopic puzzle game Kormacellik is now available on Android

For fans of Fantasic Voyage and Innerspace, there’s a new game out from BulkyPix (publishers of Meltown and Dark Lands) called Kormacellik. In this game, players assume the role of a microorganism that’s within a larger lifeform named Kormacellik, only its guts are all in 8-bit visual graphics.

It’s the job of the player to lead other cells and microorganisms to safety, in the form of an exit. Unfortunately, there are also hostile microbes in the forms of mines or viruses. Players can, in a crunch, use the innocent cells that they hope to lead to safety as projectiles to hurl against the nefarious microbes. Survival of the fittest, eh?

Kormacellik Features:

– Idiosyncratic 8-bit atmosphere
– Elegant ambient soundtrack
– Explore the infinitesimal at cells size
– Use the cells as a weapon

On a more serious note, according to the developer’s press kit, the inspiration for this game came from the developer’s experience of receiving chemotherapy, so the game was designed around the images the developer was pondering during this time, googling about cancer and all.

This game is already available on Google Play for $0.99. You can check out the game in action in the video below.
