Hearthstone gets updated and is now playable on your Android phone

Since Hearthstone was released onto Android it has only been playable natively on tablets. We say natively because there was a way we reported on to play it on your Android phone. However now you can do that and have it completely optimized for your Android phone of choice thanks to today’s update which finally makes this game playable on Android phones.

The update that Blizzard has pushed out today brings a completely redesigned user interface for smartphones, whether that be Android or iOS. This way you can properly play Hearthstone on your Android phone. The main change is where your cards in your hand are located, which is off to the side now instead of the center. That is about it though in terms of changes. The phone version of Hearthstone comes with all the features that other versions come with including the ability to log into your account and access your card collection, solo adventure content, and multiplayer matches.

The bonus card booster packs are now available as well. Anyone who finishes one game of Hearthstone, whether on their phone or tablet, will receive one free classic card pack. Additional packs, whether they be classic or Gnomes vs Goblins expansion boosters, are also available for purchase as IAPs.

Blizzard has warned that the update just went out so if you don’t see it available for you on your Android phone just yet, you will need to wait a few and check again, it should show up. The update is also available on Amazon’s Appstore.
