Gamevil’s Puzzle-RPG called Dungeon Link has globally launched today

While only residents of a select few regions can play Mortal Kombat X on Android right now, another game has launched globally instead. After a couple rounds of closed beta testing, and a two week early release in select regions as well, Dungeon Link is now available for everyone. This also means that if you pre-registered for this game, or happened to be in the closed betas, should have already received your reward codes and can now redeem them if you haven’t already.

If you missed our previous coverage of Dungeon Link, this is a bit of a different style of Puzzle-RPG. Instead of having match-3 puzzle mechanics for combat, players will trace a path for their characters to move, from their starting spot to the matching colored spot elsewhere on the playing field. As that particular character moves, they will attack any enemies within their range. Players will make up their group of heroes with ones that they collect along the way. Heroes can also be evolved by combining them with other heroes. Using a similar technique, heroes can also be enhanced as well as using runes to further upgrade their heroes.

Dungeon Link Features:

– Battle monsters by linking matching colored tiles with simple touch-and-drag controls. Unleash a Perfect Attack by using the entire board
– Use the elements to take advantage of the flow of battle
– Wisely use each hero’s special attack to gain the upper hand
– Collect over 250 different heroes to create the ultimate team
– Train and evolve your summoned heroes to unleash devastating attacks
– Earn rewards by helping your friends
– Clear the special dungeons to collect rare heroes
– Participate in Boss Raids for awesome rewards

If you participated in the closed beta testing of Dungeon Link, you will notice a few changes. One bigger change is the inclusion of a new ‘card’ that you can collect called the Unequip Rune Card. It does exactly what its name suggests, allows you to safely un-equip a rune that is currently equipped on a hero. Before this existed, switching runes or evolving heroes would destroy whatever runes it had equipped. Now you can safely remove runes if you have one of those cards available before evolving or switching to a different rune.

Dungeon Link is available on Google Play for free to everyone know, or at least to everyone in the countries the game is available in, which should be most of them. There are optional IAPs as well for extra currency and stamina, but unless you are planning on being impatient and want the extra currency to speed things along with hero leveling, you should be able to play through the entire game just fine without spending a dime.
