For those of you who enjoy street racing as well as dating sim games, there is some good news for you today as TOAST has opened up pre-registration for what they are dubbing as the “World’s first Racing/Dating Sim” game. While we are not exactly sure if this is a world first for all platforms, we certainly can’t think of any racing/dating sim hybrid games off the top of our heads for mobile at least. This is what is called Drift Girls.
It’s a strange combination to read about, a dating sim game meshed with a street racing game, and yet with movies like the Fast and the Furious franchise, it is surprising it hasn’t happened before now. Taking the anime style of art, bringing it to a dating sim which has been done many times before, and adding an actual street racing game to the mix is a pretty big endeavor. The racing part of this game seems pretty standard, albeit you’ll need to be good at drifting. Players will be able to purchase and enhance various cars in order to race against opponents (AI or other players) in street races. While you’re attempting to win millions of dollars from racing, you’ll also be trying to win the hearts of the beautiful women who are watching you race.
Drift Girls Features:
– Compete against other players in a 1 on 1 PVP competition. Remember that happy girls mean more focus and better racers.
– Race for Car Parts in challenges against pathetic chumps in jalopies. Use their parts to enhance your own ultimate dragster.
– Race for Gifts to give to the Drift Girls. Each Drift Girl is different, so don’t take the vegetarian zoologist to the all-you-can-eat beef buffet! Sure, those exist!
– Take on the competition in exhilarating Time Trials for new cars! Only the best can compete in these intense drifting challenges!
Since this game does combine a dating sim, you will have to take the girl of your choice out of dates to different places as you try and win their affection. At some point you will be racing as well, more than likely to hopefully fund those dates. While personally I’m not into the whole dating sim genre, there are plenty of people who are and combining something like racing into the mix should actual catch their interest.
When Drift Girls does land on Google Play, it will be free-to-play with optional IAPs available. If you sign up for Drift Girls before it launches, you will receive exclusive in-game rewards when the game does get released.
