Snail Games announces their E3 2015 line-up: Age of Wushu Dynasty, The W3D, and the OBox console

Snail Games has revealed their entire E3 2015 line-up today alongside their earlier announcement regarding their upcoming Age of Wushu Dynasty game for mobile devices. So what will Snail Games be showing off at this massive video game industry event?

Age of Wushu Dynasty

Well firstly, the company will be offering hands-on time with the Age of Wushu Dynasty game announced this morning. Interestingly enough, the more I think about it, the more I believe the game I played during CES 2015 has ended up becoming this new game. However, the version I player during CES was a really early build, so hopefully this build is a lot more complete. Even though the one from CES was an early version, it was pretty fun so hopes are high for this new version being even better.

The W3D Android phone

If you missed our CES 2015 coverage, the W3D Android phone is a gaming-centric phone with physical game controls on the sides of the device as well as an optional glasses-free 3D feature that actually looked pretty good when we played around with it earlier this year. While we don’t expect much to have changed with this device since CES, it will be good to get some hands-on time with it again.

The OBox

During CES 2015 we were one of the first people to get hands-on time with the OBox at the start of the show. This is an Android-powered game console, not to be confused with a micro-console which this is not. A lot of people became very interested in this console because of the modular design, allowing users to swap out parts for upgrades, just like you would if it were a PC. Need more RAM? Add some. More hard drive space? Add a new hard drive.

Originally announced to come with a Tegra K1 chipset, it is now believed to be arriving with the newer X1 which is found inside the Shield console. The other cool thing about this is that anyone wanting to buy an OBox will be able to customize the exact setup they want, just like when you buy a PC. When we went hands-on with this at CES, we got to play with an early build of the console. We expect to find a more polished one to play with at E3, especially since the OBox is supposed to be released this Summer.

Anything Else?

While these are the main items Snail Games will be showing off next week at E3 2015, you never know what else will pop up. For instance, at CES we basically got to play the Age of Wushu Dynasty game under a more generic Age of Wushu title. We also got to play Taichi Panda for the first time at CES, which wasn’t something they announced at that time for the show.

If you have any questions about any of these that you want us to ask while we are at E3 2015, let us know in the comments below. We are meeting up with Snail Games for a sit down while we are at E3 2015, so it will be a good time to get any of your questions answered.
