This week’s Hearthstone Tavern Brawl is… Ragnaros vs Nefarian

Earlier this week Blizzard finally pushed out their big update for Hearthstone and part of that update was the new Tavern Brawl game mode. For those of you who missed our coverage about this, Tavern Brawl will be a weekly ‘event’ of sorts, whereas each week there is a start and an end date and time. Each week features a different ruleset that players have to abide by and this ruleset can be pretty much anything and everything that Blizzard can think up.

For example, one week could have every player playing as a hunter, while the following week has every player creating a new deck specifically for Tavern Brawl. Another week could have a specific minion type buffed up to be stronger, and then another week could have no spells or force you to use your weakest hero. Like we said, everything is a possibility. Players will win prizes each week as well for successful matches. The only requirement is players must have leveled up at least one hero to level 20 in order to be able to access Tavern Brawl.

So what is this week’s Tavern Brawl ruleset? Well it is actually two bosses from World of Warcraft that players get to play as: Ragnaros vs Nefarian. When you start up a match, you will either end up playing as Ragnaros or Nefarian. Each boss has their own custom desk with new cards in it and their own hero ability. So you’ll have to learn what they can do, and what their weaknesses are. Your prize for winning your first victory in this week’s Tavern Brawl is a free regular booster pack.

If you don’t know what the weekly schedule is for Tavern Brawl, here are the start and end dates/times:
