Sybil: Castle of Death officially launches onto Google Play and is also on sale

A few days ago Jombihead Studios released Sybil: Castle of Death onto Google Play and to celebrate the game’s release, the developers have launched it on sale as well at 33% off the game’s regular price. This particular game is a dark comedy/horror themed tower defense type of title, which is a pretty interesting combination to find in a game like this.

While this is a tower defense game, there is a bit of a unique twist to the gameplay, besides the dark comedy/horror theme that is. In this game each enemy wave that you encounter actually has their own unique story. The way the game plays out is also a bit different than your standard tower defense title. The goal is to protect Sybil’s coffin and this is accomplished by setting up the proper defenses on a room by room basis. If enemies get to the coffin, it is game over.

Sybil: Castle of Death Features:

– 20 levels
– 33 types of enemy
– more than 90 enemy spritesets
– 10 traps, 5 magics, 6 monsters
– many upgrade features

There are various ways to protect Sybil’s coffin and to kill enemy waves. Players can set traps, use magic, and summon monsters to kill the oncoming enemies. Placement of these defenses is where the strategy comes into play.

For those of you interested in checking this game out, there is a free demo version to try the game, and a full paid version you can pick up if you like it. The full version has no ads and no IAPs either and will set you back $1.99 right now while it’s on sale. The demo version is just that, a limited play demo. One thing to note, the developers suggest your device has 1GB of RAM, which shouldn’t be a problem, as well as a screen bigger than 5″. Anything under that size isn’t supported.
