DotEmu and Pastagames have announced today that their next project is bringing the retro game Pang Adventures to console, PC, and mobile soon. In fact both companies are already well underway with the porting of Pang Adventures. Have no idea what Pang Adventures is? You probably know it by its other North American name which is Buster Bros.
Pang Adventures, or Buster Bros depending on where you live, was an extremely popular arcade game from back in the late 80s and early 90s. Essentially this arcade game has players running around each stage, which happened to be located in different areas of the world, and using a grappling hook gun would try to pop all the bouncing bubbles in each stage. However, every time you pop a big bubble, it splits into two smaller bubbles. This continues to happen until you get them down to their smallest size.

While there isn’t a ton of details announced for Pang Adventures, what we do know is that this won’t be a direct port of the original game. Instead this will be a new installment into the franchise. So while the new game will ‘maintain the spirit of the original title’, there will also be a bunch of new features, content and ‘surprises’ added to this version. We will post an update once more details are released.
