Dungeon Battles from Digital Dinosaur Games arrives worldwide onto Android this month

Digital Dinosaur Games has announced today that they will be publishing Dungeon Battles: Heroes of the Throne worldwide on Android later this month. Currently in the final stages of testing for said global release, Dungeon Battles is a combat strategy game that features fully controllable battles, which is something you don’t see if a lot of games of this nature.

Players will have six unique heroes to choose from, as well as large armies of minions, and will go up against other players or AI opponents (depending if you participate in multiplayer or single-player) in an attempt to destroy that opponents base. Of course you also have your own base to worry about as well. Players will be able to control their heroes and each minion in their army, so combat will be a lot more dynamic than what you might be used to with these types of games. This also means if you don’t control your armies well, and you lose, than it is your fault.

We actually got to test this game out in an early build during GDC 2015 when we met up with Oktangon Games (who are the developers) during the show and it was actually pretty enjoyable. It was a nice change to be able to actually control everything. Your heroes level up as you progress through the game, unlocking new skills as well. Your dungeon will also expand and get new defense measures as well. There will also be monthly events players can choose to participate in to win new unique hero skins and other items.

Right now Dungeon Battles is slated for release on August 20th, 2015. When it does launch, it will be available for download for free off of Google Play with optional IAPs available as well. You can check out the game in action via the video above. We will post an update once the game arrives.
