10tons confirms their dual-stick shooter Neon Chrome will be heading to Android

10tons has been developing a rather brutal looking dual-stick shooter called Neon Chrome for PC and consoles, which will have this game launching for those platforms later this year. However, the company has also confirmed that this game will be arriving onto mobile devices, although that won’t be happening until next year.

Neon Chrome is a cyberpunk-themed fast-paced and bloody (think Hotline Miami but with modern graphics) dual-stick shooter where players will be equipping themselves with an arsenal of weaponry, and cleaning the halls and rooms the go into of any enemies that may be there. By cleansing we mean using a variety of lasers to mow down your enemies. Each particular weapon also has a power-up type of shot that you can do.

This game features full destructible environments as well which includes the actual walls. This can not only provide some strategic advantage (shooting enemies through said walls), but also some pretty good entertainment. However, you do need to keep in mind that this works both ways and that enemies, specifically bosses, can mow down nearby environment items as they try to kill you. So hiding behind something may not be the best plan of action.

Players will also be able to not only upgrade their weapons, but also themselves, with cybernetic augmentations. Each member of your squad also has a specific ability as well to take advantage of, such as a medic healing you or a hacker can bypass certain locked security doors. You will need to try different combinations in each area.

Neon Chrome is slated for release onto PC and consoles later this year, while the mobile version for Android and iOS is slated for release in the early part of 2016.
