Idea Factory and Gloczus team up to bring the Otome visual novel Amnesia: Memories to mobile

Idea Factory and Gloczus have announced today that they have teamed up to work together on bringing the visual graphic novel Amnesia: Memories to mobile devices in the West. While the PS Vita and PC versions will be arriving this month (August 25th in North America, 26th for Europe), the companies also announced a version for Android and iOS but with no specific release date as of yet.

For those of you not familiar with Amnesia: Memories, this is an ‘otome’ game which almost literally means ‘girl game’. In other words players will be playing as a girl who, in the case of this game, wakes up with no memories of who she is or any memories at all. However, a spirit named Orion has appeared and is there to help out. Things get a bit more complicated when she finally meets up with her apparent boyfriend who she can’t obviously remember either.

The decisions you make in this game affect the outcome as well as the journey to the end. The characters in this game change personalities as well depending on the chosen world you’ve created with your choices. So there is some good replay value with Amnesia: Memories if you like to find all the different paths and ending to a particular game.

Up until now, Amnesia: Memories has only been available in Japan, originally being released onto the PSP back in 2011 and then re-released for the PS Vita in 2014. This release will be the first time the game has headed to Western markets. You can check out some of the gameplay for Amnesia: Memories in the video above.
