Finally used to how Google Play looks? Good, cause it’s changing.

Google has continuously tinkered with Google Play’s layout on both the web via your browser and through the Google Play application. All of it, for the most part, have been changes for the better in how everything looks. If you are finally used to Google Play as it is, you’ll be happy to know it will be changing again.

Google Play will be separating App & Games and Entertainment into their own unique areas. This will be how the main page within the application will be organized once the update rolls out with this new design. Each will have their own tab as well. You will notice that the current tabs for the existing categories are gone. So no more Apps, Games, Movies & TV, Music, Books, and Newsstand on the main page of the application.

There will also be a new splash page giving users an introduction to the new layout and design. Once you pick where you want to go on the main page, either Apps & Games or Entertainment, that is when you will see more specific categories. Inside Apps & Games will be options for Top Charts, Games, Categories, Family, etc. Under Entertainment users will see Movies & TV, Music, Books, Newsstand, and so on. After that it is pretty standard organization. You can also see in the preview images that the top will be used for promoting apps, games, movies, etc with a nice big image.

As for when this update will arrive, no word on that right now. It could be as soon as tomorrow.
