King Tongue is an… interesting… platformer that is coming to Android soon. Developed by Ankama, players will be taking control of King Tongue himself who is out to stop a force of weaponized bananas. I’m going to let that sink in for a minute…
So playing as King Tongue, who is the Lord of the Monkeys, players will be using his tongue to take down said Bananarmy which will be done using nothing but your stretchy and sticky tongue. The Bananarmy are trying to conquer your lands, so the Banana King himself can seize power away from you. How you will use your tongue to take out enemies is fairly unique as well. While you are able to towel whip them with your tongue, you will also be using your tongue like a grappling hook, attaching to whatever you can in order to swing your full mass into the bananas coming at you.
You will have to dodge attacks though, which you can do either by rolling under them or bouncing over them. Then you can just glide right into licking something, hooking onto it, and swinging yourself into the enemies in front of you. In total there is just over 30 arena you will need to defeat the Bananarmy in, and after that you can go after them using other monkeys like Ping Kong. Of course those other monkeys have their own unique skills.
Interestingly enough, the Banana King needs help “financing” his war against the King Tongue and has launched a “Kingstarter“. Essentially what this does is have players showing their support by subscribing to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc, increasing the bananacount and unlocking new weaponry from the Bananarmy to use against King Tongue. The Android version of this game will be arriving shortly after the iOS launch which is supposed to be on November 19th. So we should see this game arrive maybe by the end of November/beginning of December.
