Back in June of this year we reported on Deep Silver Fishlabs who announced that they will be porting the classic PC adventure game Lost Horizon to mobile devices. Originally the goal was to have the game available on iOS in July, followed by the Android release shortly thereafter. As you are probably aware, it isn’t available on either platform yet.
If you missed out previous coverage about this game, and happen to not be familiar with it, Lost Horizon is a popular point-and-click adventure game that takes place in Hong Kong back in 1936. Players will be following the story of Fenton Paddock who gets dismissed from the British Air Force. He keeps himself above water as a smuggler and petty crook – until he receives the lucrative offer to locate an expedition led by his old friend Richard. This expedition went missing in the highlands of Tibet recently. For some reason the Nazis have sent a secret task force to Tibet as well and assigned them to get hold of the lost explorers, whose revolutionary findings are rumored to bear the power to change the fate of the world forever.
Lost Horizon will also feature complete voice-over acting in both English and German to add to the immersion. The voice-acting is all done by currently popular dubbing actors for TV and movie, although specific names have yet to be revealed. However, it does mean the voice-acting should be pretty good.
So when will this game actually get released? Right now Deep Silver Fishlabs has the iOS version slated for release mid-November 2015 and the Android version is supposed to follow shortly afterwards. This means if all goes well, we should finally see Lost Horizon released by the end of this year.
