Enjoy Mechs? Check Out Core Element. It is coming to Android Soon.

Doesn’t everyone love gargantuan hulking mechs? Well, probably not. However, if you are a fan of mechs or ever enjoyed Robotech the series, maybe you should be on the lookout for Core Element.

Singularity is an independent game developer that is working on a new game called Core Element. It is slated to come out for iOS and Android. At the moment, it looks like iOS gamers will have an opportunity to play the game first. The Android version of the game could arrive  as early as this month, or the first part of next year. Singularity has chosen to publish the game themselves, so that they can control the timeline and have complete control over their game.

“Join the battle as a Star Alliance Captain as you control state of the art meckas to battle space pirates, rebels and other unknown enemies in order to keep the human race free. You will travel around the galaxy on unique missions and quests, upgrading your meckas and acquiring new champions to join your ranks!” – Singularity

The artwork for the game looks pretty impressive so far, and the story sounds like it could be engaging. The initial trailer shows that there will be a large amount of customization when it comes to your mechs. The voice-over work in the trailer could be much stronger, but that doesn’t necessarily take away from what could potentially be an exciting mech game, which there seem to be fewer of those these days.

Core Element Features:

  • Experience a brand new and exciting TOBA (Tower Defense, Online, Battle, Arena) game style
  • Collect 13 unique mechs to wage war against space pirates, rebels, and other unknown enemies
  • Select your own team of five (5) meckas and their battle formation to suit your style
  • Upgrade your mechs to unlock special abilities and traits to dominate the battlefield
  • Build new weapons and accessories for your meckas
  • Recruit and train over 50 different pilots – some with unique backstories
  • Complete unique side quests and explore key-character stories
  • Battle players from around the world through an exciting PVP experience
  • Travel throughout the Argisen Galaxy in pursuit of ancient Do-rrian technology before it falls into the wrong hands
  • Attempt the challenging Expedition mode to see how far you can make it

We are going to keep a close eye on this game. It looks as if it could be a fun one to play. As we find out more, we will keep you updated. Take a look at the first trailer and let us know what you think in the comments. This would definitely be a blast to play if it were from a third-person perspective, but we will take what we can get. Those are some amazingly rendered mechs!
