Albion Online’s newest closed beta has begun, complete with all the new additional content as well

The newest closed beta for the cross-platform MMORPG called Albion Online has officially begun this morning. This closed beta also comes with all the additional content that had been added since the previous alpha testing phase. If you have any of the three Founder’s Pack, you will be able to access this closed beta. Before now, you had to have either the Epic or Legendary Founder’s Pack to participate in any of the closed alpha testing phases.

For those of you who have missed our previous coverage of this game, Albion Online is a true cross-platform MMORPG. What we mean is that players on Android will be playing alongside PC players on the same servers. You can also log into your account on any supported platform. This is a sandbox MMORPG, so you can do pretty much whatever you want. Want to become the best adventurer in the game, completing quests and killing raid bosses? You can do that. Want to buy a piece of land and have your own house? You can do that too. You can even create your own entire village, complete with different functioning buildings that players can use and you earn money off of it. You can also specialize in any particular crafting sector and be the best at that as well.

Everything happens in a top-down perspective, so if you have played games like Diablo 3, then you should feel right at home in this game. Of course there is all the standard features that come with most MMORPGs as well such as Guilds, Guild Battles, PvP, and so on. Some areas in the game are safe zones, with no PvP allowed. Others are open to PvP combat. Guilds can also own large cities and allow other players to build shops and whatnot inside them. In other words, there is a lot to do in Albion Online. Characters are developed in a classless system, so your skills are gained by the gear you wear.

So, if you have a Founder’s Pack, you can now participate in this newest closed beta. If you don’t, you can buy one at any time and gain access as well. When looking to download the Android version of Albion Online, access to that will happen when logged into your account on their website with your Founder’s Pack enabled. It isn’t available on Google Play right now.

Since many, many, many of our readers have requested we do a giveaway for some beta keys to Albion Online, we are currently getting that set up with the crew over at Sandbox Interactive (the developers of Albion Online). That giveaway will be happening in December, so stay tuned for that! We are currently getting our official DroidGamers guild set up as well. We will let everyone know when that’s live so you can join.
