Herocraft’s upcoming roguelike RPG World of Dungeons will finally be arriving in Q1 2016

Herocraft have been working on a game for quite some time now called World of Dungeons. If you have been follow this site for awhile, then you probably remember us reporting on this game back in March of this year. So it has been in the works for awhile, but it looks like development is finally coming to its end.

In case you missed our previous article on World of Dungeons, this is a more hardcore style of game featuring roguelike mechanics that are wrapped up in a dungeon crawling RPG title. You will have a variety of classes available to choose from including Warrior, Paladin, Colossus, and Soldier. Depending on the class you choose, your character will have their own set of unique abilities as well as a particular way you will want to allocate your points that you get when they level up.

A big part of this game and the success you will have it in is the character customization. While you can follow the more standard building of your particular class, like Warrior, you can also build your character into a hybrid class. This is because there are hundred of skills your character can learn. So you can technically have a battle mage with more hands-on attack skills or a warrior who specializes in fire magic as well. The difference in the classes is where they start off in the overall skills tree. If you have played the PC MMO game Path of Exiles, then you will have a good understanding already of how character building works in World of Dungeons.

World of Dungeons also will come with three different game modes to play through. In the first mode, players will send their heroes into dungeons in search of treasure and adventure. In the second mode, they will fight fierce bosses and get rare weapons and artifacts for defeating the enemy. The third mode, the Arena, is the place to test heroes in battle against tough enemy teams. All combat is turn-based regardless of what mode you’re playing in.

World of Dungeons was slated for release this year but has been pushed to Q1 2016 instead due to some final testing needed and extra tweaks. We will be streaming some early gameplay later this week, so stay tuned for that.
