Google ads will now offer up playable app demos when they show up

Recently Google added the ability to stream app and game demos from Google Play that developers can use to show off a game or app online via a browser. Now Google is taking advantage of this feature themselves by offering up that feature within Google Ads themselves.

Now, when you see an advertisement for an application, there is a chance that there will be a playable right within the ad itself. It’s a pretty neat idea and for developers, there’s no better way to get people to download your app or game than by letting them try it in some fashion ahead of time. This is especially true for premium priced downloads.

The whole app streaming feature was released last month as a feature within Google Search results. Now it has expanded to Google Ads as well. This is, of course, all within your Android device of choice. So when you see an ad within an app you have installed, there’s a chance you can try it out right then and there with this new streaming feature.

Right now this is technically in a ‘beta’ status, with this only available to a limited set of advertisers. On top of that, app streaming is also only available to phones in the US, connected to Wi-Fi, and running Android Lollipop or Marshmallow.
