The North American Autumn finals for the rather popular mobile MOBA title Vainglory took place last weekend, with a prize pool for the season of over $200,000 up for grabs. Taking place at the eSports Arena in Santa Ana, California, Liberation X battled through three days of matches, ending up in a showdown on the final day against Nemesis Hydra. Eventually Liberation X would defeat Nemesis Hydra and take home a cool $10,000.
For those of you who enjoy numbers, over 650 teams applied in September for the qualifiers, with the top 128 teams getting into the tournament bracket. The top eight teams in North America to make it to last weekend’s finals were VON Menace, Liberation X, Nemesis Hydra, Nemesis Titan, Vertigo Black, and Gankstars Vega.
Now the European Autumn finals have begun this weekend and just like the North American finals, you can watch the entire series go down live. The teams competing in the European Autumn finals include Reborth of Empire, Rebeltiger, Snow, Angry Pandas, Black Hawk, G2.Kinguin, SK Chimaera (a.k.a SK Gaming), and Media Pixel eSport.
The European Autumn finals are taking place in MCK Katowice in Poland, and run from today until December 13th, 2015. There is a full schedule available for all matches this weekend in case you want to make sure you’re watching your favorite team battle it out for the top prize.
