Final Fantasy 2 is now available for free for a limited time through the Final Fantasy Portal app

Generally people like to point out the pricing Square Enix does with their mobile games, mainly because it doesn’t follow the $0.99-$2.99 price range most games fall under. Instead their titles are usually $7.99-$15.99 in price. However for a limited time you now have a chance to snag Final Fantasy 2 for Android for the discounted price of FREE.

If you don’t have the Final Fantasy Portal app installed, we suggest grabbing a copy of it as soon as you can, because that’s how you’ll be getting a free copy of Final Fantasy 2 for your Android device. If you have it installed, then you’re already one step ahead. Why are they giving it away? To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the release of the Portal app.

Once you have the Portal application installed, there will be a news post a little ways down on the main page that talks about the 1year anniversary of the Portal app release. When you open up that post, you’ll see it talking about being able to download Final Fantasy 2 for free. You’ll see a link to the iOS version, and a link to the Android version of Final Fantasy 2. From there just tap on the link and you’ll be downloading the game for free.

Interestingly enough, the actual copy of Final Fantasy II is gone from Google Play, probably just for the duration of this freebie giveaway. You can download a copy of the Portal application off of Google Play for free. You will have until February 14th to grab Final Fantasy II for free.
