A Skyrocket Story brings intricate hand-drawn art to life on Android

Indie developer John William Evelyn has released his first game onto Android called A Skyrocket Story. This is a pretty unique game featuring hand-drawn art that has come alive and where you control a little rocketship that is flying endlessly through space.

As you progress through this game, you will be collecting the pages to make an illustrated book. There’s 48-pages in all to collect while drifting through space. Each level you are flying through requires you to figure out how to get out of that area and into the next zone. Sometimes this means flying through actual tears in the paper backdrop.

A Skyrocket Story Features:

• Original hand-drawn artwork by John William Evelyn, brought to life in full HD
• 46 core levels to test your skills – More challenges await those who can master them
• Discover 5 unique worlds
• Gameplay to challenge your skills and puzzle solving

The game itself is a pretty straightforward arcade puzzler, but the visuals and the story telling are what set this apart from others in that genre. A Skyrocket Story is available for download off of Google Play for a flat $1.49. You can check out 30 seconds of gameplay with the video below.
