Taichi Panda Heroes soft launches onto Android in Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand

Back at the end of March Snail Games announced the arrival of Taichi Panda Heroes which was heading into closed beta testing that day. Since then we have been playing in the closed beta, which is actually quite a lot of fun. Today, however, Taichi Panda Heroes has dropped the closed beta tags and instead soft launched in a few select regions.

For those of you not familiar with this game and missed our previous coverage, Taichi Panda Heroes is essentially the sequel to Snail Games original MMORPG called Taichi Panda. This game is an MMORPG as well, but instead of running around with your single character like in a standard MMORPG, you’ll eventually form a team with heroes you’ve collected. However, even though this sounds like a collectible hero RPG, this is actually an MMORPG, so there is open world exploration and so on. The team thing is a bit of a unique twist on the standard MMO formula.

Each character you get can be leveled up, equipped with new gear, and have their own unique abilities also leveled up. There are both solo dungeons as well as team-based ones, multiple styles of PvP from arena battles to battleground style, and a variety of other activities, all of which are geared towards character and storyline progression. At the launch, there will be a total of 19 heroes available, with more planned down the road in future content updates.

If you played the original Taichi Panda, you’ll probably want to check this one out. Either way, Taichi Panda Heroes is currently soft launching in Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand. With that many regions being a part of the soft launch, the global launch shouldn’t be too far from now. If you aren’t in those regions, you can see some of the gameplay by watching one of our upcoming Twitch streams. So stay tuned for that.
