Popular PC MMORPG Elsword is getting a mobile version called Elsword: Evolution later this month. Currently in Closed Beta.

Kunlun Games has announced that their popular MMORPG for PC called Elsword will be getting a mobile version globally launched soon called Elsword: Evolution. Currently this game is in a closed beta status, even though it seems like everyone can download and play this game now. So really it is more of an open beta than a closed one.

For those of you not familiar with this franchise, Elsword and its new mobile brother are action-based MMORPGs featuring an anime style of visuals. The original PC game has been around for some time, clocking in at over 10yrs old with around 28-million players. In the mobile version, players will be going up against waves of enemies that they need to defeat with their selected character (there’s multiple classes to choose from). As you progress through the game, you’ll be upgrading your powers, eventually unlocking even stronger special moves that you’ll need to beat the stronger enemies heading you way.

The actual gameplay will have you controlling your character, moving through each area in a side-scrolling manner and fighting off your enemies with an array of moves and abilities. Even though this is a side-scrolling RPG, there are a lot of features that come from the MMORPG genre, such as a Guild system with guild-based events, a large Quest system, character customization with outfits, player mounts (such as Speed of Wind Raptor and Nasde’s Robot), and of course, PvP combat.

If you’re a fan of the Elsword franchise than you’ll want to grab a copy of this game. Even if you haven’t heard of Elsword before, you can check out Elsword: Evolution by downloading it off of Google Play for free. It does come with optional IAPs as well.
