Released by Gazzapper Games, Zenblocks is a new casual game that’s out for Android. In Zenblocks, players are looking to clear the board of the colored blocks that are populating it. Unlike what one might find in say, a match three type game, there are rows and columns of blocks, as well as empty/unused space.
The board in question is surrounded by dots, that line up with the rows and columns that may contain colored blocks. At the bottom of the screen is the next color that players can add to the board, by tapping on one of the dots that sit along the board’s periphery. The square then gets added to the board from the direction of the chosen dot, and is added to the blocks there.
Once a player makes three or more of the same color, that string of blocks is eliminated from the board, with the goal being to remove all of the blocks. Should a player place his/her block in the wrong place, it remains, and now players must work to remove it in addition to the others that remain on the board. The board needs to be cleared within a limited number of moves, so getting it right the first time matters. Players will run out of moves if too many of them are spent fixing mistakes.
