[UPDATE: Game Released] Sparkwave from Crescent Moon Games will arrive on Android today

If you need some downtime in between playing Jewel Road, the unique twist on a match-3 puzzle game from Crescent Moon Games, they have another game for you to try today. Sparkwave was released on iOS earlier this year, and it received great reviews. If you like twitch type games, then Sparkwave should be added to your library of games.

The game is set up in a rapidly changing hexagon world. You will direct/pilot a line with a detailed endpoint through treacherous territories. The goal in the game is to get as far as you can without meeting an untimely end. The environments are filled with obstacles and power-ups.  By simply tapping left or right, your line will move in that direction. When you aren’t tapping your screen directing the movement, the line travels straight. There will be plenty of quick decisions that need to be made to stay alive.

Sparkwave Features:

  • The player must stay on the track and can only survive being off-track for a limited time.
  • Crystals are collected in order to unlock new ‘sparks’ and purchase items which can simplify gameplay.
  • Gorgeous hex art style
  • Variable tracks and obstacles
  • Multiple unlockable sparks to customize your ship
  • Great original music by Evan Gipson

A couple of years ago  another publisher, Noodlecake Studios, released a fascinating but brutally difficult game called Wave Wave. Sparkwave has similar traits, but the environments created for Sparkwave will dazzle you even more. We expect this game to be enjoyable to play whether you are a hardcore twitch-type gamer, or someone who just enjoys a challenge or going for a high score.

Crescent Moon Games didn’t mention the price of the game, but currently the game is free for iOS players. Crescent Moon has done a really good job about publishing games that are sold at a premium price, or games that are free but have limited IAP’s. Either way, when the game releases, you can expect to be able to enjoy it without hitting a pay wall. The link below is for the game, but it is not live yet. Once it goes live, we will update this article. In the meantime, check out the trailer and get ready for some rapid gameplay with a great soundtrack, when Sparkwave arrives today.
