Telltale Games reveals the launch date for their upcoming Batman series

Over the past couple of months we have covered the rumor, and then subsequent revealing, of TellTale Games’ new Batman themed series that they have been working on. Now it looks like the first episode is almost ready to be unleashed onto the world as Telltale Games has announced the release date for it.

In case you missed our previous coverage on this new series, the Batman series will be themed around the more ‘darker’ Batman character. Cast wise, here’s who is playing who: Bruce Wayne (played by Troy Baker), Vicki Vale (Erin Yvette), Alfred (Enn Reitel), Lt Gordon (Murphey Guyer), Carmine Falcone/The Roman (Richaed McGonagle), and Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Laura Bailey). In total there will be five episodes in this series, so it will be the standard size from Telltale Games.

Not much of the storyline has been revealed just yet though. However, thanks to the new trailer premiering today, we do get to learn a little of what to expect with Episode 1, although the company did remain pretty vague still:

Enter the fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne and discover the powerful and far-reaching consequences of your choices as the Dark Knight. In this gritty and violent new story from the award-winning creators of The Walking Dead – A Telltale Games Series, you’ll make discoveries that will shatter Bruce Wayne’s world, and the already fragile stability of a corrupt Gotham City.

That’s about it right now for the storyline. As for pricing, this too falls into the standard Telltale format, with individual episodes retailing for $5 but there will also be a Season Pass available for purchase as well. The Batman series will be arriving on August 2nd, 2016 for all platforms.
