See how well you can plan out your city’s growth in Concrete Jungle, now out on Google Play

Released by ColePower Games, Concrete Jungle is a new city planning/management game with some deck building elements.

In this game, players will be responsible for determining the layout of a city, by choosing where to place certain types of buildings. The board is a grid that is positioned to give the players an isometric point of view, with the immediate focus being the leftmost column of squares.

Each of these columns are assigned a point value that players will want to achieve, before it is filled up with buildings. Once it is full, it drops off the map, and a new column is added at the right side of the board (think Tetris). If the lefthand column is full, but the target number of points haven’t been accrued, players can forfeit one of their lives to clear it off. Where buildings can be placed is determined by the deck that players use, with the top cards being what players can place, but a few more are visible towards the bottom of the screen. Players can also add new cards to their decks that are later earned. Each building has a positive, negative, or neutral surrounding, making strategy a necessity in placing buildings. Schools give a point bonus to any surrounding buildings, while factories cost points, and carwashes will do both (two positive sides, and two negative sides). There is live voice acting, over two hundred cards available, weather effects, achievements, and leaderboards.

The gameplay in this one is a mix of genres, but all together an impressive game. The game was released on PC/Steam not too long ago and has very positive reviews, which are hard to come by, when you are talking about game reviews on Steam. Even more impressive is the fact that the game costs $12.99 on Steam, and you can get the mobile game for $4.99. Based on all the interactivity on screen for this game, it seems perfectly suited for tablets. we have included the trailer below for you to check out.
