Fallout Shelter gets a new update with a Theme Workshop, new quests, and more

Fallout Shelter has received a new update that brings with it a couple of new interesting features for players to try out. The update brings with it a new Themes Workshop, new time-limited quests for players to complete, re-balancing other Quest times and combat speed, among a few other goodies.

The biggest addition to the game is the Theme Workshop. What this actually does is allow players to customize their vault living and dining quarters with different themes. Currently available are themed from Fallout 4 and holiday themes. Since this is a ‘workshop’, you’ll need to build that workshop before you can add themes to those rooms. You will then need to get the appropriate Blueprint for each theme before you can actually craft it. Blueprints are acquired through quests. The Fallout 4 faction themes available so far are the Minutemen, the Railroad, the Brotherhood of Steel, and the Institute.

In other theme news, holiday themes and events will be returning to Fallout Shelter thanks to this update. Added so far are Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, although all three are not immediately accessible as of yet. Halloween-themed goodies are, however, available right now. Costumes can be accessed as rewards from quests, while Halloween themes for rooms are also available for a limited time.

This update brings a slew of new quests for players to work their way through in order to try and earn some of the new rewards including those room theme blueprints. Outside of those, you’ll also find resources and other holiday themed rewards when completing the new quests.

The Fallout Shelter 1.8 update is now available for download off of Google Play.
