Delve into the dark arts in One Day in London, now available from Google Play

Visual Novels have been a thriving form of gaming on Android for some time. One Day in London is one of those game’s that’s just been ported over to the platform. In this game, players will be given the opportunity to determine how the game ends, through choices made in a non-linear format.

Players begin by seeing a story told from the perspective of a second year university student in 19th century London named Jeremy, whose heritage drives from a family of aristocrats, causing Jeremy to apparently become bored with live, and Jeremy begins delving into the occult in such a fashion where he (along with some friends) attempts to experiment with a seance/summoning of sorts, only for it to go terribly wrong, while simply looking for some excitement.

One Day in London Features:

– Engaging nonlinear narrative – dozens of possible -branching storylines and several unique endings!
– Interactive gameplay, mini-games, quests.
– Memorable and well-written characters, elaborate world.
– Luxurious graphics, cutting-edge effects, high-quality animation of cut-scenes.
– Atmospheric soundtrack.
– The story continues! New episodes released regularly.

Jeremy also befriends an older gentleman who’s quite skeptical of all things mystical. As the story unfolds, Jeremy enters into a secret society, strange events and people enter the story, and unexplained deaths occur, in a world that’s populated with both humans, as well as more supernatural persons. Being a visual novel, the game has a heavy focus on text, either having players read through it, as the driver for advancing the story, or choosing options in dialog. There isn’t much for animation, but there is a soundtrack running in the background to compliment the typically still images of the characters and locations, though elements of them are animated, such as leaves blown around by the wind.

One Day in London is already available on Google Play. The game will cost a flat $7.99, and lacks both ads, as well as IAPs. Those interested in seeing more of the game in action can check out the trailer below.
