Amazon will be hosting the Champions of Fire Invitational mobile eSports tournament next month

Mobile eSports is still a young part of the entire eSports scene but it is growing. Amazon has announced today that they will be holding their first mobile eSports tournament next month called the Champions of Fire Invitational in Las Vegas. The prize pool? A cool $100,000, with 1st place cashing in $30,000. The official host of this tournament is actually the Amazon Appstore and the tournament as a whole will feature a variety of casual mobile games.

The Champions of Fire Invitational will be a one-day blitz mobile gaming tournament that will feature famous personalities in the video game and gameplay streaming world. There will be well-known individuals from Twitch and other video platforms, including Boxbox, Professor Broman, Northernlion, lolRenaynay, Brian Kibler and more. The format will be a head-to-head single-elimination tournament, with each competitor competing across five of the biggest casual mobile games: Disney Crossy Road, Pac-Man 256, Bloons TD Battles, 8 Ball Pool and the all new Fruit Ninja Tournament Edition.

The tournament will be held on December 2nd, 2016 starting at 2pm PST and running until 9pm PST. The entire event will be live streamed on the Amazon Appstore Twitch channel. If you happen to miss the stream, it will be re-aired in a highlights 2-hr special on the CBS Sports Network on December 12th, 2016 at 7pm PST.
