Torchlight Mobile gets a new gameplay video showing off the Kitsune class

We’ve been following the development of the upcoming Torchlight Mobile game for awhile now, and it is an interesting, if not frustrating, game to watch being developed. Since it was announced back in the Summer of 2015, the development hasn’t had a lot of details released about it, except for at specific shows such as GDC or the Tokyo Game Show. Hell we still don’t even have a real release date for it.

What we do know is that it will be sticking to the original PC game’s content a lot, but it will have free-to-play mechanics like IAPs, although Runic has stated that it won’t be pay-to-win and most IAPs will be more along the lines of cosmetic items. For those of you not familiar with this franchise, Torchlight has two installments for PC already, and this will be the third installment and a full game, not just a spin-off. Torchlight is an MMORPG Dungeon Crawler/ARPG hybrid title that features gameplay that is similar in style to other games such as the Diablo franchise.

Torchlight Mobile Kitsune gameplay

There will be multiple races available to play as, and unlike the PC version, which has over 36 skills, the mobile variant will come with 64 additional skills. Players will also be able to open up a stall/shop, to sell their loot to other players. This game will be dungeon heavy, with unique bosses inhabiting each of them. Interestingly enough, this version of the game will include PvP gameplay but that will take shape in the form of MOBA type of game.

The new video (below) shows the Kitsune class and the gameplay/skills that will be coming along with it. As we get closer to the game’s global launch, which is apparently still going to happen before the end of 2016, more details and videos will be coming out. When that happens, we will post an update. The closed beta in China ended in October, so we could see it be released on time for the end of the year.
