The other news regarding Pokemon GO yesterday, about the 100 new 2nd generation Pokemon making their appearance on December 8th, seems to have either been off or has changed. The chances are, since this will arrive as an update, that it is the latter of the two options and Niantic has decided to change when they are arriving because of the leaked Starbucks document.
If you missed yesterday’s news, basically a staff memo for Starbucks employees was leaked out that mentioned the 100 2nd generation Pokemon, that we all know are coming, would be arriving on December 8th. Niantic wouldn’t comment on this, stating company policy is to not comment on rumor or speculation. However, it is pretty interesting that a formal press release hit the airwaves this morning which was very short and to the point (literally one sentence), stating that Niantic would be making an announcement about more Pokemon coming to Pokemon GO on December 12th.
