Niantic Labs has announced today the availability of holiday-themed item packs which will be available for a limited time only for Pokemon GO players, which makes sense since it is themed around the holidays. These ‘packs’, which come in the form of presents, are visible in the IAP area of the game and come in three different sizes: Special, Great, and Ultra Boxes.
Each pack contains a different amount of Incubators, Incense, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls, depending on which ones you decide to spend some in-game currency on. Pricing on each box comes in at 250, 550, 1500 coins. You only have 4 days to pick these boxes up before they are gone, since they will be ending on December 30th, 2016.
Besides those boxes, there is another event for the holidays going on, which also features different boxes for in-game coins, that will begin December 30th, 2016 and run until January 3rd, 2017. These boxes also come in three sizes: Bronze, Silver, and Gold, with pricing weighing in at 460, 980, and jumping to 2480 coins for the gold box. These particular boxes will contain any or all of the following: Incense, Lure Modules, Poke Balls, Lucky Eggs, and Great Balls.
So if you have a little extra in-game currency to blow in Pokemon GO, this might be the way to do it.
