Single handedly save earth from invaders in Titan Attacks!, now out on Google Play

Released by Shaven Puppy Ltd, Titan Attacks is a modern riff on the classic Space Invaders game. To that end, the invading Titans will align in similar patterns as the classic game, and slowly march downward from the top of the screen.

To stave off this invasion, players will control a tank of sorts, that moves laterally along the bottom of the screen. Beyond what parallels Space Invaders, there are little extras, both in visuals as well as mechanics. For example with the former, there’s a night time backdrop (at least early in the game) with sky scrapers, aliens that survive explosions and float down via parachutes while their wrecked ships dive bomb towards the ground. As for the latter, players can collect virtual cash by completing levels, and bonuses from catching the parachuting aliens. Earnings can then be spent on upgrades, such as shields so players can take more hits before losing the game, purchasing bombs, better ammo, et al.

The controls for the game are simple, in that players simply drag their finger across the bottom of the screen, which guides the tank, which fires automatically. All told, the game contains more than 100 levels that are located on five different worlds.

Titans Attack! is available for free on Google Play. The game contains optional ads that players can watch for extra revenue, and as well as banner ads that can be removed via a single IAP of $3.99.
