We’ve all played a match three tie-in to an enormous franchise at this point. Big deal, right? Apathy aside, Star Wars: Puzzle Droids does do something interesting with the franchise, if not the gameplay.
Each level is themed around one of BB-8’s memories, so you’re witnessing key Star Wars events from a different perspective. That includes events that have previously gone untold, which is pretty cool.
That also means you’ll get to see familiar faces like Rey and Finn, and locations like Takodana and Jakku. Star Wars fans will be in their element.
Star Wars: Puzzle Droids
Puzzle Droids is standard match three fare. Expect over 100 levels of creating combos, clearing obstacles, battling bosses, and using power-ups.
If you like Star Wars, you might just get a kick out of it. We don’t need to convince match three puzzle fans either, but those interested in neither should pass.
