Futurama is back… Sort of! To promote the upcoming mobile game Worlds of Tomorrow, TinyCo has released a brand new animated short. It’s the first since the show ended, and you can watch it right now below.
And we’re getting more, apparently. Developer Jam City is working with the original writers, cast, and animators to produce even more original animation. Isn’t that exciting?

We’ve also learned a bunch more about the game itself. It’s split into two different settings, New New York and space, and the gameplay changes depending on where you are.
While in New New York, it plays more like an RPG. You’ll take on quests, rescue characters, and collect crafting materials to create new outfits. These give you new abilities, that help in future quests.
You’ll also head off into space with a crew of your favourite characters. These sections play like a retro RPG, with 16 bit visuals, and traditional turn-based gameplay.
