Most people try to avoid decapitation, because it’s generally considered fatal. But for the cheerful chap who appears in Pukk, decapitation is the start of an enjoyable treasure hunting adventure in a Nordic snowscape. A door closes, a window opens.
The head, sensibly – if belatedly – protected by a helmet, slides around on the ice, smashing blocks, avoiding polar bears, and collecting treasure.
Naturally, treasure isn’t much use to a decapitated head, so he spends the proceeds of his hunt on fancier helmets, to prolong the experience of sliding around on the life-preserving ice for as long as possible. Because once that stops, he surely dies.
