7 new Android games you have to play this week

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Android

There’s a reason we look forward to the weekend, and it’s not entirely just because we’re free. Well, most of us anyway. No, it’s because we get to play lots of new Android games.

Where do we find such games? On Droid Gamers of course! Each week, we round up the best new games so you don’t have to scour through Google Play for yourself. Here they are.

The best new Android game this week: Animal Crossing Pocket Camp

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp is a streamlined version of the franchise you know and love by Nintendo. Gather stuff, build furniture, and make friends.

Really, you should know by now whether or not you want to download this on Google Play.

Morphite

Morphite is basically No Man’s Sky on mobile, and we’ve been waiting for it on Android for ages. You’ll visit alien planets, scan stuff, and sell your research to buy better gear.

Like that kind of thing? Get Morphite on Google Play.

The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk

The Last Wind Monk is the sequel to point and click adventure The Inner World. Once again you’ll point and tap on stuff to solve puzzles to save the family of the flute noses. No, I didn’t make that up.

If you like point and click adventures, grab The Last Wind Monk on Google Play.

Puzzle Fighter

Puzzle Fighter is yet another match three puzzler with a big franchise behind it. This time it’s Capcom, and it features characters from the Street Fighter franchise.

We won’t judge you if you like this stuff, but go and get it on Google Play before anyone else sees.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the latest title to launch under the completely underwhelming Sega Forever. What started with such promise ended up with poor Mega Drive ports of games we’ve played countless times.

Still, Sonic the Hedehog 2, eh? Grab it on Google Play now.

Minion Shooter: Smash Anarchy

If you like coffee, you’ll love Minion Shooter. You have to shoot aliens to protect the world’s last coffee planet, the destruction of which would deprive thirsty workers of their life restoring beverage.

That’s reason enough to grab it from Google Play right now.

Talking Tom Pool

Last up is yet another game that no one has ever asked for, Talking Tom Pool. It’s a cute little puzzler featuring that annoying talking cat where you have to match stuff. Who cares?

You do? Oh, okay. Go and get it on Google Play then I guess.
