7 new Android games you have to play this week

Marvel Strike Force Seismic Android

What an absolute smashing week for Android gaming. Seriously, have a glance below and you’ll see it’s all killer and no filler whatsoever.

We’ve got new entries in huge IPs alongside indie hits that have finally landed on Android. There’s even room for an interesting roguelike shooter. Read on for the full list of smash hits you have to play this week.

The best new Android game this week: Marvel Strike ForceGet it

It was a tough choice this week, but we opted to name Marvel Strike Force as best new Android game. Say whatever you want about how closely it resembles Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, but it’s a ridiculously slick affair. We particularly love how you can combine heroes and villains in one team. Think of the possibilities!

JYDGEGet it

If you’ve played Neon Chrome, you’ll know exactly what to expect from JYDGE. This somewhat sequel takes the best of its predecessor but improves on it immeasurably. You’ll create your own cybernetic agent, customise it to smithereens, and hire new companions as you battle crime in this futuristic shooter.

One Piece Bounty RushGet it

One Piece Bounty Rush is a brand new multiplayer brawler in which you and three other players battle against another team of four to see who can collect the most treasure by the end of the match. It’s set in the same universe as the hit TV show, and features your favourite characters and items.

Death Squared – Get it

The hit Nintendo Switch puzzler has finally came to Android. Here you have to move a bunch of square blocks simultaneously to solve a variety of puzzles. That might sound simple, but at times it feels like scratching your head and rubbing your tummy. It’s tricky stuff.

Thanks Funem for the news tip!

LichtspeerGet it

Lichtspeer has been around for a while on other platforms, but Noodlecake has finally brought it to Android. It’s an odd 80’s arcade themed futuristic viking spear throwing high score chaser. Man, that’s a whole bundle of contradictions! Fortunately, it’s an incredibly fun bundle.

Chain StrikeGet it

Chain Strike is the closest you get to filler on this last. It’s yet another gacha RPG, but with the added twist that combat closely resembles chess on Fire Emblem Heroes‘s 5×7 combat grid. It might be worth a look if you’re a fan of the genre and don’t really like Marvel.

Sword Art Online: Integral FactorGet it

Wrapping things up this week is the latest entry in Bandai Namco’s popular JRPG franchise that draws inspiration from MMORPGs. In this one, you have to help a group of players escape from an MMO. The kicker is, if you die while playing, you die in real life. Better be careful!
