Over the weekend, we learned the incredibly sad news that Telltale Games is shutting down.
Never heard of them? That’s the development team behind The Walking Dead adventure game, and the upcoming Stranger Things game.
Telltale Games is working on a Stranger Things game that will likely be its last
The reason for this isn’t incredibly clear, but it seems that the studio was facing “insurmountable challenges”.
Sadly, the vast majority of its staff lost their jobs, with a small crew of 25 employees remaining onboard to close shop.
Fortunately, that Stranger Things video game is still going ahead, but after that the future looks bleak for the studio.
