MU Origin 4.0 adds Mount equipment, a new Force system, a Ritual event, and more

Believe it or not, there was a time when games didn’t change at all after you bought them. Once the code had been committed to tape, cartridge, and CD, it was a done deal.

These days, downloading a game is just the beginning of an evolving journey that might last years, and and few games have been as sprawling and generously supplied with new content as Webzen’s awesome mobile MMORPG MU Origin.

In just two short years, the game has come through so many updates and versions that it’s already on 4.0.

True to form, the MU Origin 4.0 update brings with it a whole bundle of new content in the form of events and features.

MU Origin 4.0

The biggest is probably the Ritual event, which allows Corps-enlisted players to earn rewards by slaying monsters and finishing quests.

There are four phases to each Ritual, and each time you complete a quest within a phase you’ll make a little bit more progress towards unlocking the next phase, and ultimately conquering the event altogether.

The Ritual event starts at midnight on October 29th, so stay tuned.

Also included in MU Origin 4.0 is a whole new Force system, which becomes available once you’ve complete the main quest after Rebirth 10, level 40.

The Force system introduces a number changes to the game, including a daily boss battle against the fearsome Raputh – with the added bonus that you can earn the title Devil Slayer if you inflict the most damage.

You can also accrue Force Contribution and Force Grade by doing Force quests, all of which goes towards your Force ranking, which resets at midnight every Monday.

There’s a lot more in the MU Origin 4.0 update than we can possibly describe here, but we’ll take the time to mention to the new Mount equipment feature, which basically gives you the same range of attacking and defensive options with your mount that you have with your own character, along with various other new mount-based perks.

You can download MU Origin and check it out in all its 4.0 glory on Google Play (and the App Store!) right now.
