NCSoft has just announced Aion 2, a brand new entry in the franchise that actually takes place 900 years before the events of the original.
The big new feature is dimensional cracks, which lead to PvP battles between servers.

There won’t be two different factions this time either, and you won’t be locked into playing a single class.
Instead, you can adapt your playstyle by simply swapping between one of the many different weapons. There’s no restriction to this.
That leads to a brand new combat system too, which will incorporate gliding into your portfolio of moves.
