Google will announce a gaming project at GDC 2019

Google looks all set to announce a brand new gaming project at GDC 2019 in March.

The project, which goes under the codename ‘Yeti’, is reportedly a new subscription-based streaming service.

That makes Google the latest company to push towards streaming, which is often cited as the future of gaming.

Think about it: it would be sweet if you didn’t have to worry about splashing out on expensive hardware, and could instead just stream any games on any device.

That would put mobile in a very strong position, as we all have one. Imagine just firing up The Witcher 3 to your TV from your phone? Madness.

The rumour mills are also predicting that Google might launch its own hardware that’s dedicated to streaming. What this console will look or function like is unknown at this time.

You can bet your bottom dollar that we’ll update you as soon as more information is out in the wild.
