With the recent reports of layoffs at EA’s mobile games studio Firemonkeys, it looks like Real Racing 4 is no more.
This report comes from Kotaku, who spoke to an EA representative and an anonymous internal staff member.
Kotaku released a huge report detailing what happened
Kotaku reported that Real Racing 4 was cancelled, and the studio member revealed that they expect the studio to be completely shuttered soon.
That’s terrible news for a studio that pushed the boundaries during the early days of mobile. We got Mass Effect Infiltrator and Dead Space out of those guys, as well as the Real Racing franchise.
