The Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has revealed more information about the upcoming mobile version of Octopath traveler.
For those that haven’t heard of it, this is a mobile exclusive prequel to the Nintendo Switch JRPG. It features very similar gameplay and many returning characters.

New information has surfaced that details the game in more depth. We now know that there won’t be much in the way of exploration, with your character moving automatically on rails.
That’s the potential bad news. The good news is that it will receive monthly content updates that expand the story. That sounds awesome to us.
Sadly, we don’t know when, or even if, Octopath Traveler mobile will launch. We do know that you can pre-register for the Japanese version right now, and that a demo phase will take place soon.
