Pokémon Home Launches February 20 on Android

Pokémon Home is a bit of a dream come true for long-term fans of the monster collecting franchise, as it allows you to move your favourite monsters between a wide variety of different games.

It’s basically cloud storage for Pokémon, and it works across Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android. You can sync your Nintendo Account across all devices and share your monsters between compatible games.

At launch, these will include Pokémon Sword & Shield, Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu! and Eevee!, and Pokémon Bank on Nintendo 3DS. Pokémon GO will receive support in the future.

Other features include the ability to trade Pokémon with trainers across the world using the Wonder Box and to check your Pokédex of unlocked Pokémon.

Pokémon Home will feature free and premium versions, with the latter basically providing quality of life features.

With the Premium Plan, you’ll be able to deposit more Pokémon, pop more in the Wonder Box at once, host Room Trades, use the Judge function, and place more Pokémon in the GTS at once.

The Premium Plan costs $2.99 per month of $15.99 per year, so it’s not going to break the bank.
