Sphaze, from publisher Subpixels, is headed for the Google Play Store on July the 2nd, though you can pre-register for it now.
The gameplay involves manipulating mazes to allow a series of robots to get through. Cut the Rope and Monument Valley are both purportedly influences, though it’s difficult to see a strong connection in gameplay terms, beyond the necessity to manipulate the environment.
Visually, however, it shares a certain subdued aesthetic with Monument Valley, as well as with Shelter and Pako. The presentation is crisp, clean, and elegantly polygonal.
There are several different environments in the game, all of which look solid. They include glowing volcanic caverns, verdant lakeside beauty spots, metallic industrial areas, and so on.
It looks pretty good. Go here to pre-register.
