PUBG Mobile Gets a Massive 1.0 Update, Including Erangel 2.0 Map

PUBG Mobile, the hugely popular battle royale forerunner to Epic’s Fortnite, has just reached the crucial milestone of version 1.0.

The update – which officially signals the end of the game’s beta phase, even though it’s been out for ages – brings several tweaks and improvements to PUBG Mobile’s gameplay, as well as a host of graphical enhancements.

In addition, the popular Erangel map has received an overhaul, with the landscape, terrain, buildings, and other details all having been optimized. Resource points such as military bases and the Mansion have been renewed, too, and several new elements have been added, including trenches, barricades, abandoned tanks, and more.

There’s also a new private training area called Cheer Park, where you can go to fire off a few rounds, hurl some stuff, and generally hone your martial skills for the big fight.

The Home Lobby has been updated too, making it slicker to navigate, while other enhancements include new weapons and gear, optimized standing and crouching, greater security, and more.

Finally, players can expect a “mysterious surprise” on downloading the update.

PUBG Mobile is available for free right now on the Google Play Store.
