Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night to Get Optimized Controller Support and 60fps in Update ‘Within the Month’

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the popular 2D action-RPG from Castlevania veteran Koji Igarashi, is set to receive optimized basic controller support “within the month”, according to a tweet on the game’s official Twitter account.

Published by NetEase, the mobile version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been generally well received, but its patchy controller support has drawn criticism.

While it’s possible to use a physical controller to play the game, the on-screen buttons remain visible throughout gameplay, and you have to resort to screen-tapping to navigate the menus.

The tweet doesn’t specify exactly how the controls will be optimized, but it’s distinctly possible that these issues will be ironed out, bringing the mobile version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night closer to the level of its PC and console counterparts.

In addition to the controller tweaks, the update will add support for 60fps, in case your eyes crave that level of fluid motion. Various OS tweaks and bug-fixes are coming down the pipe too.

You can download Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for $9.99 right now on the Google Play Store.
